Overthinking

OVERTHINKING

If you find yourself spending an unreasonable amount of time thinking about something, twisting it around in your head until you've seen it from every angle, chances are you are an overthinker.

The main cause of overthinking is constantly living in your head. Most of the problems we believe to be problems don't even exist in reality until we consciously create them. It stems from an actual or perceived lack of control over some aspect of life. With lack of control comes a feeling of helplessness, sadness, anger, or others.

Overthinking can occur as a consequence of a decision that needs to be made, big or small, and is typically resulted in stressful situations. It can keep us up at night.

When we overthink, our conscious energy is wasted on excessive thinking usually upon negativity that will lead us to what we've expected, negative results. By doing so, we are becoming victims of our own mind. Sometimes when we over think we aren't even aware we're doing it. We're doing it subconsciously. It has become like a fixed habit.

Overthinking can also cause illness to the body because you're keeping your SELF from being at ease and living in a state of stress or disease. Instead of letting things flow naturally.

To be free from overthinking one must tune into reality more often and think positive. The more you think positive, it will become a habit and fix into your subconscious mind, which will result in your reality. Keep in mind that positive thinking will result in life's positive attractions.

We must learn to trust the universe and understand things will work how they're supposed to. Stay positive and let things flow to and through you abundantly. What happens happens, and it's for a specific reason. We are the receivers of life, we are not here to control it.

Here are some ways to stop overthinking:

1. Tune in to reality, live in the now moment.

2. Avoid situations and people that can lead to overthinking. Use your past events to let you know how situations and certain people make you feel. Live and learn.

3. Start being more aware of what you're thinking at times when dealing with situations.

4. Think more about what can go right instead of what can go wrong.

5. Act as if you can't fail.

6. Just breathe. Count your breaths and tap into the moment of here and now.

7. Ask yourself, am I at ease in this moment?

8. Learn to let go and let it happen.

9. Stop trying to control everything. Let life flow. See things as they are, not how you want them to be.

10. Flow with life. Consider your thoughts are waves, just let them flow.

Life is simple, don't complicate it.
